The HA TECH SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Environmental Kit is a real time PCR test intended for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA from environmental swabs. The intended use of this kit is for research use only (RUO). The kit is not to be used to diagnose clinical samples. The kit is only intended for environmental coronavirus monitoring and swab sampling of hard surfaces such as door handles, tables, walls, PIN pads etc. HA TECH does not support nor validate results for purposes outside of its intended use.
This product uses well characterised primers and probe for the N gene. An independent Internal Control (IC) provides assurance that amplification is occurring in each reaction. Positive control (purified SARS-CoV-2 genomic RNA) provides a reverse transcription and PCR control to validate the post extraction procedure and reagent integrity. No template control (Nuclease free water) checks for cross contamination of samples and contamination of reagents.

Storage And Shelf Life
Shipping temperature 2~8°C for maximum of 4 days. Longer than 4 days requires a shipment temperature of -20°C.
- All reagents should be stored at -20±5°C with protection from light. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. The reagents are stable for 6 months when stored at the recommended condition.
- Expiration date is 12 months after production date.
- The expiration date will not change if the kit is opened and stored at the recommended conditions.
- The expiration date will not change if the kit is transported with icepacks for 4 days and/or treated with 10 freeze-thaw cycles.
